MRCAS EDGE
MRCAS Edge goes beyond the University curriculum to offer students all the courses that are needed to enhance their employability in every stream of study. The curriculum is carefully curated keeping in mind the skills needed for employability and the latest industry requirements. The MRCAS EDGE offers a T Shaped approach to learning, where students studying in one stream have the freedom to attend courses offered in other streams. The students are therefore encouraged to take up Value Added Courses (VAC), Skill Based Courses (SBC) and Online Certification Courses (OCC) to gain a multi-disciplinary learning experience. The design and delivery of the MRCAS Edge Programs have been formulated with Advisors from premier Institutions like IIT Madras, TSM and leading multinational corporations.

Department Activities
Neil O Brien Club
This is the quiz club of Department of Commerce. This club conducts quizzes for the students of the department on alternative Saturdays thereby providing a fun and interesting way of broadening and deepening their knowledge.
Start-up Sparks Society
This is the Entrepreneurship Development Cell of the Department of Commerce. This club aims to conduct activities that ignite the business ideas lying dormant in students’ minds. This society offers a platform for students to present their business concepts and face scrutiny from their peers regarding the practicality and potential of these ideas. In essence, it serves as a nurturing ground where students’ entrepreneurial visions are incubated and developed.
Arthasasthra Club
This club aims to keep the students up to date on the happenings of the business world. The office bearers of this club gather information relevant to the field of commerce and present it to the rest of the students. The club conducts group discussions and seminars on corporate affairs.
Consumer Club
The Consumer Club plays a vital role in empowering students by promoting awareness, education and advisory services for consumer rights. Its aim is to raise awareness among students about their rights and responsibilities as consumers. This involves educating students on product quality, pricing, and the importance of making informed choices in the market place.
