The Shakthi – Women’s Cell @ MRCAS, in collaboration with the Department of Commerce, orchestrated a vibrant Onam celebration at MRCAS, infusing the campus with festive energy and cultural richness. The event was marked by a lively Rangoli (poo kolam) competition, which saw enthusiastic participation from the students. Rangoli, a traditional Indian art form involving intricate patterns created with colored powders, flowers, or rice, played a central role in the festivities, symbolizing joy and prosperity. The students embraced this tradition with great fervor, showcasing their creativity and attention to detail through their colorful and elaborate designs. Their efforts transformed the venue into a canvas of vivid patterns and symbols, reflecting both the spirit of Onam and the rich cultural heritage it celebrates.
